Inooro TV morning breakfast show host Kamau Wakang’ethe has apologised following controversial remarks he made about Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna during an earlier broadcast.

Kamau attracted attention after claiming that he had previously invited Sifuna to appear on the Inooro TV breakfast show, but the senator declined the invitation. The presenter further alleged that Sifuna told him there was nothing the Kikuyu community could offer him.

The remarks sparked debate over the alleged conversation and the reference to the Kikuyu community.

During his morning broadcast on Friday, October 9, 2026, Kamau addressed the issue and apologised for his earlier statements, expressing regret over remarks that had drawn public attention.

His apology comes amid discussions surrounding his claims about Sifuna and the alleged exchange between the two public figures.

The incident has also drawn attention to the responsibility of media personalities when discussing political leaders and ethnic communities, particularly when recounting conversations that have not been independently established.

Kamau’s apology marks a new development in the controversy surrounding his earlier remarks.
