Political strategist and communications professional Pauline Njoroge has announced her resignation from the Jubilee Party, bringing to an end a 14-year political journey that has seen her serve in various roles within the party and its predecessor, The National Alliance (TNA).

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Njoroge confirmed that she had resigned from the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Jubilee Party, where she served as Deputy Organizing Secretary. She also announced her resignation as a member of the party, saying the decision was part of her desire to begin a new chapter in her political journey.

Njoroge said her decision was not one that she had made lightly. According to her, the time had come for her to move on and fully dedicate herself to a political cause that she believes reflects the aspirations and expectations of a new generation of Kenyans.

"For the last fourteen years, I have walked an incredible political journey. Today, however, I believe the time has come to embrace a new chapter," Njoroge said in her statement.

She explained that her political journey began in 2012 when she joined The National Alliance, commonly known as TNA, where she worked as a Communications Manager. TNA was at the time associated with former President Uhuru Kenyatta and played a major role in the politics that led to the 2013 General Election.

Her journey continued after TNA merged with the United Republican Party (URP) to create the Jubilee Party. Njoroge remained part of the new political outfit and over the years rose through the ranks to become a party official.

She eventually served as the Deputy Organizing Secretary and became a member of the party's National Executive Committee. Her resignation therefore marks the end of a long association with a political party that has played a major role in Kenya's politics over the past decade.

Looking back at her time in Jubilee and TNA, Njoroge expressed gratitude for the experiences and opportunities she received. She described the 14 years as a transformational period that helped shape her political thinking and improve her skills in strategic communication.

Njoroge said her involvement in politics allowed her to serve during what she described as one of the most defining political periods in Kenya's history. She also noted that she would willingly take the same journey again if given another opportunity.

"For someone deeply passionate about politics and strategic communications, these fourteen years have been nothing short of transformational," she said.

One of the people Njoroge singled out for special appreciation was former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is also the Jubilee Party leader. She described Kenyatta as more than just a political leader, saying he had been a mentor, teacher and political father to her.

According to Njoroge, the former President trusted her with responsibilities and played an important role in her personal and professional growth. She also credited him with giving her opportunities to gain leadership and governance experience beyond Kenya.

She said the exposure she received through her association with Kenyatta helped broaden her understanding of leadership, governance and public service across Africa and internationally.

"For all that he has done for me, I remain profoundly grateful," Njoroge said, adding that even as she begins a new chapter, Kenyatta would remain a valued source of wisdom and counsel.

Her resignation comes at a time when political alliances and movements are taking shape ahead of Kenya's next General Election. The political landscape is already witnessing realignments as leaders and political actors position themselves for the future.

Njoroge said her decision to leave Jubilee is closely connected to her involvement in the Linda Mwananchi movement, which she joined in February this year.

She explained that her participation in the movement over the past several months has strengthened her belief that it offers an important platform through which the aspirations of a new generation can be advanced.

According to Njoroge, the movement is focused on issues such as good governance, the rule of law, constitutionalism, accountability and servant leadership. She said these principles are also connected to the broader WANTAM call, which she described as a push for national renewal rather than simply a change in political leadership.

The former Jubilee official said she had therefore made a "difficult but deeply considered decision" to dedicate herself fully to the cause she now believes in.

Her decision effectively closes what she described as a remarkable 14-year chapter in a party that had been her political home for many years.

Despite leaving the party, Njoroge maintained a positive tone in her statement. She said she was departing with gratitude, cherished friendships, valuable lessons and immense respect for Jubilee Party and the leaders she worked with throughout her political career.

Her statement also sought to make it clear that her resignation should not be viewed simply as an end, but as the beginning of a new political journey.

"As one chapter closes, another begins," she said, expressing optimism and renewed purpose as she moves forward.

Njoroge said her vision for the future is anchored in the belief that Kenya deserves leadership that listens to citizens, promotes unity and puts the interests of ordinary people first.

She described Linda Mwananchi as more than just a political movement. In her view, it represents a commitment to stand with ordinary Kenyans and amplify their voices in national affairs.

She also highlighted the importance of defending the rule of law, constitutionalism and human rights, while promoting leadership based on service, accountability and respect for the dignity of every Kenyan.

Her resignation is likely to attract attention within Kenya's political circles, particularly because of her long association with Jubilee and former President Uhuru Kenyatta. It also raises questions about the direction she and other political actors within the Linda Mwananchi movement may take as the country moves closer to the 2027 General Election.

For now, however, Njoroge has made her position clear. After 14 years of service within the Jubilee political family, she believes her political journey has reached a turning point.

She is now choosing to focus her energy on a movement she believes can contribute to national renewal and give ordinary Kenyans a stronger voice in the country's leadership and governance.

Her departure from Jubilee marks the closing of an important chapter in her political career, but her statement suggests that she sees the future with optimism. With her experience in political communication, strategy and party organization, her next steps are likely to be closely watched by political observers and Kenyans interested in the country's changing political landscape.

As she begins this new journey, Njoroge has pledged her energy and commitment to the principles she says she believes in: good governance, accountability, constitutionalism, human rights and people-centred leadership.

The former Jubilee official now joins a growing group of political actors seeking to influence the direction of Kenya's politics ahead of the next election cycle. Whether her new political path will have a major impact on the country's political landscape remains to be seen, but her resignation signals a significant change in her political career after more than a decade of service.

For Njoroge, however, the message is clear: one political chapter has ended, and another has begun.
