A quiet morning in Riamute village, Githunguri, turned into a scene of horror after a local man killed his wife and two-year-old son before taking his own life.
The bodies of Kennedy Kamau Kabaiko (popularly known as Kamaa), his wife, and their toddler son, Kabaiko, were discovered this morning.
The Timeline of the Tragedy
According to preliminary details, the incident unfolded in a chillingly calculated manner:
The Killings: Kamaa used a knife to attack and kill his wife. He then turned the weapon on his two-year-old son.
The Note: After ensuring they were both dead, he sat down and wrote a detailed three-page suicide note.
The Status Update: Once the letter was finished, Kamaa took photos of the scene, posted them on his WhatsApp status alongside an apology, and then hanged himself.

The Root Cause: In April 2024, Kamaa and his brother, Kabiru, were involved in a motorcycle accident on Thika Road. While Kamaa survived with injuries, Kabiru tragically died.
